Doodle Press

I've been a full time greeting cards illustrator for a while now, working in-house for various studios over the years. I've been at Doodle Press since the studio opened and I've loved every minute of it. It's a brilliant company to illustrate for as I get to work in an eclectic range of styles such as cute characters, florals and watercolors. Here are some samples of my designs taken from our new website. The full website shows off all the great work that myself and my talented colleagues do: www.doodle-press.com

I do cutes!

During the day, I work as a cute artist for Doodle Press. I've been there since 2008 working in-house. They are an amazing illustration and design company based in Lancastershire. We provide design and illustration for greeting cards, packaging, product design and crafts. I usually work on cutes but I have done traditional scenes and florals too.

This a small selection of my cute work taken from the brand new and gorgeous Doodle Press website so if you're interested in our work you should get in touch.

Owl Embroidery

I have been so lazy this summer, my blog is so out of date! Over at Bunnycup embroidery, Ashlea has been busier than ever and she has a new set of cute owls on her site. She's made them look so trendy and bright with her choice of colours. I would love one on some pjs!

Mermaids

After a roller-coaster of a week at the greeting cards studio, I think I can finally relax a bit. The studio is to be shut down in late June as they can't afford to keep it open, but my job as a cute illustrator is safe at least and I won't have to relocate, it is possible for me to do my regular day job from home. Phew! I am so relieved. It just would have been a real struggle if I was made redundant, but I feel such unhappiness because the designers at Poppy Hill Studio are just awesome folk and we are going to miss each other so much.

On a good note though, these black & white mermaid illustrations are new embroidery designs. I think these are great. I liked them so much I have added colour to my favourite one.
